2025 Entry & Nomination Dates:

DNA Envelope Order Window: May 1st - June 26th
Broiler Order Window: May 15th - July 15th
DNA Nominations must be completed and Envelopes Postmarked: July 1st
Entry Window: August 1st - September 5th

ATTENTION: You must purchase envelopes BEFORE completing the online nomination process. After you get your envelopes you will log in and complete the nomination in the nomination portal. Please read the Nomination Process document below for complete instructions. Reminder: Official nomination and DNA submission is required for market and breeding beef, feeder calves, market and breeding goats, market and breeding sheep, and market and breeding swine.

DNA envelopes must be postmarked to return to the Aksarben Stock Show by July 1st.

ATTENTION

ALL LIVESTOCK (beef, swine, sheep, and goats, including breeding stock, market stock, and feeder calves) MUST have DNA nominated to be eligible to enter.

DNA envelope orders will open Thursday, May 1st. And close June 26th at 12:00 pm (noon).

Starting June 13th at 12:00 pm a priority shipping cost of $12 will be added to your order.

Starting June 20th at 12:00 pm a priority express shipping cost of $35 will be added to your order.

DNA Envelopes are due postmarked by July 1st, 2025 - ALL SPECIES - ALL STATES

*Completed DNA Envelopes must be postmarked no later than July 1st.

*No late DNA orders will be accepted.

NOTE - Nebraska 4-H & FFA MEMBERS ONLY: If you submitted DNA for your animal for the Nebraska State Fair, your DNA is accepted, however you are not automatically nominated for the Aksarben Stock Show. You must also nominate in the Aksarben Nomination Portal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q). Do I write a check or send cash for my envelopes?

A). No checks or cash will be accepted. DNA envelopes must be paid for via credit card.

Q). We have old envelopes from past Aksarben shows, can I use them?

A). Only 2025 Aksarben Stock Show envelopes will be accepted.

Q). Is this a family nomination system?

A). Yes! Immediate siblings (brothers and sisters) may be listed on the same envelope. Cousins, friends, neighbors CANNOT be listed on the same envelope.

Q). What happens if I miss the DNA deadline?

A). There will be no late DNA envelopes accepted.

Q). Does each DNA nomination, for each animal, enter them for the show?

A). NO! DNA submissions and nominations are SEPARATE from entering to show. You must first submit the animals DNA sample, then nominate online in the nomination portal. Official entry process occurs August 1 - September 5, 2025.

Q). I am a Nebraska 4-H/FFA Member, Do I need to submit DNA for Nebraska State Fair and the Aksarben Stock Show?

A). NO! Nebraska 4-H & FFA MEMBERS ONLY: If you submitted DNA for your animal for the Nebraska State Fair, your DNA is accepted, however you are not automatically nominated for the Aksarben Stock Show. You must also nominate in the Aksarben Nomination Portal.
