Families from Minnesota, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska gathered at the Burch Livestock facility to pick up their lamb for the 2021 Aksarben Lamb Challenge .Kolby, Mickey, and Miles Burch welcomed 26 young people to their farm for the draw of lambs. The morning started off with an educational presentation, by Kolby, on nutrition, health, and management of the lambs. He also detailed the management steps each individual needs to go through once they get home. A tour of the facilities was eye opening for many as they viewed the barns and working facilities needed to operate a successful club lamb program. The 26 individuals will now care for the lambs and bring them to Aksarben this fall. This program is made possible by the generous support of sponsors that will partner and communicate with one of the exhibitors throughout the summer. The 2021 show will be held September 23-26, 2021 in Grand Island, Nebraska. Good luck to 26 outstanding young people!
